Patricia Ann Montandon of Nashville made her transition to the Mansion World on December 20, 2018, two weeks after her 80th birthday. A Celebration of Life Service was held for Pat on December 30th at Belmont Village where she resided and she was then laid to rest at Woodlawn next to her father, George W. Montandon. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Pat was born in Knox City, TX on December 6, 1938. She grew up on a farm with her older sister, Georgia, and her parents, George and Agnes Hyde Montandon. Pat graduated from Abilene Christian College and later received her Master’s Degree from Sacramento State College. She lived in California for most of her adult life and became a highly respected high school teacher, a word processing instructor long before the internet existed, and later, a financial advisor.
Pat enjoyed traveling and made frequent trips to her favorite place, Maui Hawaii. She also traveled to Europe and Mexico. She visited her family in Texas, Tennessee and Colorado and enjoyed many special occasions with them, weddings, Christmas and fun filled cruises.
Patricia Ann Montandon is survived by her sister, Georgia Louise Montandon Gleaves of Nashville; a niece and nephew, Susan Kay Gleaves Bollig (Mark) of Franktown, CO and David Hunter Gleaves (Donita) of Adelaide, Australia; four grandnephew and nieces, April Elizabeth Bollig Carey (Daniel) and Melissa Christine Bollig, both of Colorado Springs, CO, Brandon Hunter Gleaves and Juliana Marie Gleaves both of Adelaide, Australia; one great grandnephew, Blake Daniel Carey of Colorado Springs.
Our family wishes to express our gratitude for the compassionate caregivers at Belmont Village and those at Caris Hospice. We were blessed to have Pat in our lives and will forever miss her.
