She was born on August 13, 1922 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Alex and Lillian Inman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hart, brother, Al Inman, and sisters, Mary Pendergraff and Charlotte Meeker.
Norma lived most of her life in Nashville, TN. She and Joe moved to Detroit, Michigan during World War II where they worked in an aircraft assembly plant. They moved back to Tennessee in 1950. They operated the Hart’s Delite Restaurant in Donelson from 1961 to 1972. She was active in the Eastern Star, Fifty Forward Center, and the Red Hats. She was a member of the Donelson Church of Christ for over 50 years. She was passionate about her family and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Claire Hart; grandsons and wives, Joseph Brett and Linda Hart, David Scott and Rebecca Hart; two great-grandsons, Harrison and Brett Hart; sister, Ruth Turner; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Liz Inman; best friend, Lucille Gresham, and several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to friends Roy Young, Roberta Fleming, and Andrew McGee for all their loving assistance. Also, thanks to Dr. John Anderson, Dr. Robert Beck, and all the very special staff of the 7th floor at Centennial Hospital.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home. Private Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
