We are sad to announce the passing of Michael Warren Stutz of Nashville, TN. He died at the age of 63 on November 1, 2023. Mike passed away at home surrounded by loved ones after a battle with cancer that was diagnosed in 2017.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Stutz; step father, Don Douty; and aunt, Pamela Cobb. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lisa Stutz; his daughter, Gracie; his mother, Deborah Douty; brothers Fred Stutz (Tracey), David Stutz (Ana), and Greg (Sue) Stutz; nieces and nephews Brad Stutz, Alex Stutz, Sam Stutz, Eric Stutz, Blake Carter, Jared Carter, Brittany Stutz, and Erin Stutz.
Mike was a University of Tennessee, Knoxville graduate and worked mostly as a graphic artist in the printing business. He worked the last six years at ACLA, where he loved his work family.
Mike was an artist and his favorite medium was carving limestone. He was also survived by several limestone rabbits. Mike loved God, his family and neighbors. He loved college football and was an avid cyclist. Mike also climbed Shining Rock Mountain with his brother, Greg, during his illness. Mike would tell you he had a good life. He loved and was loved by many.
A memorial service will be held for Mike at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN, on Saturday, November 11. The time of visitation is from at 1:00-2:00pm with the service following at 2:00. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the American Cancer Society.
