Mary E. Wainscott

Mary was born on November 12, 1921 in Garrett, IN to Walter Erickson and Florence Rehorst Erickson. She married John Pershing Wainscott, and he precedes her in death.

Also preceding her in death are her parents; and sister, Margaret E. Erickson.

Surviving are her four sons, John P. Wainscott, Jr, Tom W. Wainscott, Dean L. Wainscott (Terri), and Steve R. Wainscott; grandchildren, Sharon, Tony, Randy, Brandon, Jerret, and Sara; great-grandchildren, Christopher Diaz, Brianna, Logan, Natalee, Grayson, Amelia, Jordyn, Lily, Ariaa, Mallory, Gavin, and Preston; and one sister-in-law, Betty Wainscott.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was always positive and upbeat, and she thought the world of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mary was also very social, and she loved sitting around her kitchen table to visit.

A long-time member of Crievewood Baptist Church, Mary was very close to her women's group there, and they would often knit and craft together. Mary also loved gardening and would ask her son's Dean and Steve what they were growing.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from one thirty in the afternoon until three thirty at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at three thirty in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Celebrant Greg Comp officiating.
