Mary G. Smith

She was born January 1, 1933 in Putnam, CT to Floyd Alvin and Rosa (Nielson) Gallup. She was a graduate of Killingly High School in 1951. In 1976 her family moved to Mt. Juliet, TN. She was a member of Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Allen, of 54 years, gardening and working in the church.

She is survived by sons Glenn Smith of Wilton Manors, FL, Tom (Neva) Smith of Crossville, TN, Michael (Cheryl) Smith of Fairview, TN and daughter Nancy (Jeff) Montoney of Mt. Juliet, TN. Grandchildren Rebecca Edington , Rachel Ferrel, Sandra Leon, Melissa Batson, Allie Batson, Erik Smith, and Mark Smith and four Great Grandchildren Cody Gilmore, Austin Gilmore, Jacob Smith, and Abigail Leon. Active pallbearers are family and friends. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8th at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 4 p.m. at Mount Olivet Funeral Home on Wednesday with the Revered Bill Redding officiating. Burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Methodist Women’s Club in care of Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church.
