Mary Grace Yates Potts, age 92, born on November 2, 1925 to Guy and Mamie Yates in Rinard, IL passed away on February 15, 2018 in Franklin, TN. She is also preceded in death by husband of 44 years, Buford Wayne Potts; 7 brothers, and two sisters.
Mary is survived by sons: Richard, Allan (Beverly), Samuel (Connie) and Robert; grandchildren: Matthew (Rachel), Charles, Jennifer and Natalie Wagner (Johannes); great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Bryce Potts.
Mary attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and graduated from MTSU. Mary was an elementary school teacher for 35 years and retired from Metro Nashville Public Schools. She was a past Matron of Doric and Franklin Chapters, Order of the Eastern Star and member of the Order of the Amaranth. Mary was also a member of the Music City Collectibles Club.
Matthew Potts, Charles Potts, Greg Dodd, Jeff Watts, Mario Valente, and Sam Isbell will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m in Dignity Hall Chapel at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. with a one hour visitation prior to service in Dignity Hall Chapel. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
