Harmon, Mary Jeanne Parrish Pride graduated this life on May 19, 2018 at 3:27 am. Born in Nashville , Tennessee on May 22 1925. She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Wesley Harmon, a veteran of the US Army and World War II, parents Mr. and Mrs. H Grady Parrish and her brother Major H. Grady Parrish. She leaves her children and step children: Michael W. Pride and wife Debra Pride, Mark S. pride and wife Judy Pride, M. Melody Pride Harmon and husband Ronnie Harmon, Eva Lane and husband David Lane, Jane Harmon and sixteen grandchildren and great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren. One niece and four nephews. Mary Jeanne was a member of Andrew Price Memorial United Methodist Church and a former member of the Anna Gay Class. She held offices in several Methodist Churches throughout her nearly 93 years. She was an active member formerly of St Marks Methodist in Overland Park, Kansas Westminster Methodist in Simsbury, Connecticut ,The Methodist Church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Westwood, New Jersey. She is currently a member of St Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church at 3259 McGavock Pike. She graduated from Donelson High School and Ward Belmont Women's finishing College. She was married to Wayne C. Pride, also of Nashville for 32 years, now interned in the national Cemetery in Nashville. Wayne was a United States Marine fighter pilot during World War II , serving in the Asian Pacific Region. For many years Mary Jeanne participated in art shows in Destin, Florida. She was a member of the Middle Tennessee Iris Society, showing her artwork at many of the Iris Shows . Her work is currently on display at the Hermitage Museum Gift Shop, and the Dr. Howard Foreman learning Center at St Thomas Hospital. Celebration of life will be held 2 pm Sunday at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home with Pastor Roberts officiating. Interment to be held at Mt Olivet Cemetery with grandchildren serving as pallbearers Eric Pride, Seth Pride, Mark Lee Harmon and Josh Martin. Visitation with family Sunday from 1 pm till time of service at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home 615-883-2361.
