She was the daughter of Porter and Charlie Dozier, who predeceased her. Denis is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jim Garrett of Pegram, TN, her sons Porter Haile, Madison, TN, and Perry Haile, Nashville, and her beloved grandchildren, Eden and Griffin Haile, and by her sister, Martha Bratcher, Owensboro, KY.
Denis was a skilled legal secretary, a passionate gardener, avid knitter and insatiable reader. She served for many years as the treasurer for the Pegram Community Club and was a Daughter of the American Revolution. She was a well-loved friend to nearly everyone who met her.
