Following her long and courageous battle with sarcoidosis, Mary Eleanore Casey, 76, of Brentwood, TN passed away in her home on Saturday, July 4, 2020. She leaves behind her devoted and loving husband of 55 years, Richard Joe Casey; son, Jason (Rachel) Casey; daughter, Wendy (Eddie) Gadsey; and five grandchildren, Dylan, Gavin, and Ella Gadsey, and twin granddaughters, Ava Kate and Olivia Casey. Other surviving family members include her twin sister, Margaret Morris; sister-in-law, Barbara (David) Swett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was born on September 9, 1943 in Nashville, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Buist and Clara Jacobs Gardner; sisters, Betty Norfleet and Clara Jean Wilson; and adored mother-in-law, Margaret Mays.
During her earlier years as a cosmetologist, Mary became a successful salon owner which later led her into using her natural gift as a businesswoman to assist others with their careers and to later establish her own interior design company, Interior Connection. Mary’s family were truly her first priority, and she always made her friends feel special. Mary was a hardworking and dedicated volunteer for many worthwhile projects in her community, but more importantly, she was an inspiration to all who knew her. Mary leaves a memorable legacy of being a gracious host, fabulous cook, and having a heart filled with humble generosity.
On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, a Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A private family Celebration of Life and burial will immediately follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
