Martha S. Horton

Martha was born on August 23, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a member of Brookhollow Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia "Tracie" Sargent Orman (Tom); Nephew, Jace Sargent (Debbi); Nieces, Cricket Cooke (Al), Gina Smith (Chris), and Rosa Darby Pifer (Brian); Great nephews, Hutson Sargent and Christopher Darby; Great nieces, Haley Sargent, Nicole Terrell (Bo), and Ashlyn Brewer (Brettley); and great-great nephews, Mason and Ridge Terrell.

Martha is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Douglas J. Horton. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Jim W. and Lorene Sargent and brothers, Jim and Joe Sargent.

Martha retired from Bell South. Doug and Martha loved to travel. They spent a lot of time at their condo in Destin, Florida. Martha loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a social butterfly and the "life of the party".

A graveside service will be conducted at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, March 4th at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow. The service will be held by Bro. Tom Orman.
