With great sadness we announce the passing of Marsha Ann Stewart Knaggs, 82, on December 16, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Born in Bogalusa, LA, a 60 year resident of Nashville, Marsha spent 29 or her 37 year career serving as Director of Psychiatric and Clinical Social work at Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute.
Gifted with an amazing intellect, a tireless work ethic and love for others, she gave of her talents providing mental health counseling, performing social work and volunteering to advance the State of Tennessee’s services for those in need. She was an advocate for patient’s rights, patient’s families and a consummate professional.
Proceeded in death by her father Marshal Stewart and her Mother Virginia Smith Frasier of Bogalusa, she is survived by her daughter Kristie Lynn Knaggs and Ron St.Denis future son in law of Sharpsburg, GA
Friends are invited to attend visitation Friday December 21 from 5 PM to 8 PM and the graveside services on Saturday December 22nd at 11 AM at the WoodLawn -Roesch- Patton Funerial home and memorial park.
