Margaret Emily Norman

Miss Norman was born in Trussville, Alabama on August 8, 1936, to the late

Richard E. Norman, Sr., and Mary Gaut Speier Norman. She graduated from

Hillsboro High School in 1954. Margaret attended the University of Alabama

where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. After college, Margaret

began a long career with the National Life and Accident Insurance Company,

which later became American General. She retired from American General in

1998.

Miss Norman is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by brothers

Richard (Patsy) Norman, Jr., and John (Kathleen) Norman; two nieces – Suzanne

Norman Overall of Longwood, Florida, and Margaret Macy Norman of Nashville;

two nephews – Johnny Harris Norman of Huntsville, AL, and Patrick Loren

Norman of Decatur, GA; and by five grandnephews.

Visitation with the family will be held at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home &

Cemetery, on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, from 12 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with

graveside service to follow.
