Margaret Lee Holt

Margaret Lee Holt, age 97, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022. Margaret was born October 5, 1924 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Roy Walter Conquest and Eunice Guscalis Dorris Conquest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Augustus Holt, Sr.; her daughters, Linda J. Veach, Sandra A. Jones; her sister, Stella Smith and her brother, Paul Conquest.

Margaret is survived by her son, John A. Holt, Jr. (Gala), granddaughters, Jenny L. Jones, Jeanne R. Veach, Sabrina D. McGrew (Kevin); grandsons, Brian C. Veach and Jonathan R. Holt; great-grandchildren, Eleanor M. Jones, Haley A. Busby, Jordyn R. Busby, Ethan S. Busby, Avery J. Veach, Gabe McGrew, Emmylou McGrew, Brady Jennette and Jaxon Jennette; son-in-law, Floyd W. Veach (Sue) and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Margaret had a green thumb, she loved working in her yard and grew roses until she was 91. She was always willing to go on an adventure to casinos, yard sales and traveling. Margaret would often take off to the casino with her daughter, Sandra and they would always make memories on their wild and crazy adventures. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile, her joyous laughter and extremely quick wit.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from five until eight o'clock in the evening on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Saturday, August 20, 2022 in Lindsley Hall of Mount Olivet Funeral Home, with Interment to follow in the Historic Section of Mount Olivet Cemetery.
