Margaret was born on July 17, 1928 to her late parents Marshall M. Lawrence, M.D. and Opal Long Lawrence. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Davis and brother Marshall M. (Ruth Evans) Lawrence, Jr.
She is survived by her loving daughter Camille Davis, brother, David (Sandi) Lawrence, M.D., nephews, Marshall M. Lawrence, III, Cordell (Beverly) Lawrence, Dave Lawrence, Thomas J. (Robin) Davis and Donald Raymond (Elaine) Davis. Nieces, Deborah Lawrence, Catherine Amyx, Margaret (Ed) Smith and Julia Lawrence.
In her early years Margaret worked behind the counter in her parents drugstore and soda shop at The Lawrence Hotel. Then furthered her education at Union College in Barbourville, KY.
Margaret was an active member at Donelson Heights United Methodist Church where she loved her community. She was a tireless volunteer working as Financial Secretary for Donelson Heights UMC for over 50 years. She was known for her discretion and integrity in members pledges and tithes. She was also employed at Manheim Auto Auction for over twenty years. She enjoyed her time there and made a lifelong friend, Kay Gobbell.
Margaret was warm hearted and had a wonderful sense of humor. She rescued many cats over the years and her last rescue, Claude, was a constant companion that brought her great joy for about 20 years.
