Margaret Ann Warner was born August 13, 1938, in Nashville, TN. The granddaughter of the late Martha & John Roesch, Sallie & John Patton, and the daughter of Margaret & John Patton. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert John Bond and is survived by her children Treglown Patton Warner, Mark Monroe Warner (Suzi), Margaret Ann Seman (Jon), grandson Gordon Douglas Barnhart, and niece P.T. Tate.
Margaret Ann graduated from Vanderbilt Univ. in 1960 and was vice president of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. While at Vanderbilt, Margaret Ann was a member of the Tri Arts Club and Panhellenic Council. After graduation, she taught school and piano.
Margaret Ann set up the first promotion department at WZTV. After Multimedia Entertainment purchased the television station she was promoted to Director of Public Relations for Multimedia Nashville where she promoted National Music Specials and Award Shows. Later she opened Margaret Ann Warner Public Relations where she promoted clients in music, healthcare, and retailing. Margaret Ann was elected President of The Nashville Advertising Federation and served on the boards of the Nashville Symphony, Nashville Songwriter Association International, American Red Cross and Easter Seals. She was a member of the Broadcast Promotion and Marketing Executives Association, Country Music Association, National Academy of Television Arts and Science and the American Women in Radio and TV.
Margaret Ann enjoyed dancing, tennis, bridge and entertaining with her husband. The joys of her life were Treg, Mark, Margaret Ann and Gordon. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
A gathering of family & friends for Margaret Ann will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 LEBANON PIKE, NASHVILLE, TN 37210, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
