ADELMAN, Margaret Manning - On April 21, 2012, Margaret Manning Adelman joined her parents, Hon. Frank and Alma Manning of Clio, SC, in the presence of the Lord. She was a wonderful, caring, and true wife to Edward Alfred Adelman, Sr. as well as an incredible mother to Catherine Adelman Hancock, Edward Alfred Adelman Jr., Francis Manning (Kelly) Adelman, and William Fraser (Lynn) Adelman. She doted on her ten grandchildren, William Caldwell (Elizabeth) Hancock, Jr., Robert Adelman Hancock, Thomas Manning Hancock, Mary Catherine Hancock, Helen Davis Adelman, Margaret McColl Adelman (Will) Curtiss, Francis Manning Adelman Jr., Edward Grayson Adelman, Stephanie Lynn Adelman, Margaret Manning Adelman, and her three great grandchildren, Frank Callaway Hancock, Eleanor Adelman Hancock, and Emma Bidwell Hancock. She was admired greatly by her niece Jean Manning (Doug) Charlton and her three nephews, Wellington McColl (Sue) Manning, Jr., Frank Cameron (Ginger) Manning, Jr., Robert Manning (Page) Christopher, as well as many grand and great- grand nieces and nephews. She was a communicant of St. Henry where she served as organist, choir member, and member of the Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Ladies of Charity, the Colonna Club and the South Carolina Club. For over thirty 30 years she taught in the Metro Public Schools. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 5-7 PM with rosary recitation at 7 PM at St. Henry Catholic Church. Mass of Resurrection at St. Henry Catholic Church will be conducted at 11AM on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 with visitation commencing one hour prior to service time. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Special thanks to the staff at Alive Hospice for their loving kindness.
