Lucian C Carter

CARTER, Lucian C. age 99, born Aug. 14, 1912, to the late Clara Elizabeth (Nolen) and John Franklin Carter. Passed away Friday Januaury 20, 2012. A resident of the Donelson community for over 50 years. Lucian was a member of Donelson Church of Christ where he served as an usher. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Gladys Patrick Carter; son, Lucian C. Carter, Jr.; sisters, Hattie Mae Wilkins & Pauline Garrett; brother, Franklin Carter. Survived by son, Ronald Wayne (Deborah) Carter; granddaughter, Kelly Carter. Lucian will long be remembered for his gentle loving spirit. Lucian worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 38 years. A Celebration of Life will be held on Mon, Jan 23, 2012 at 12:00 pm in the Hibbett & Hailey Chapel with Frank Batson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery friends & family will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends Sun. Jan. 22nd 2 – 6pm and Mon., Jan. 23rd 11 – 12 pm. HIBBETT & HAILEY FUNERAL HOME 615-883-2361.
