Loyde Ray Ragan

Loyde Ray-Age 77, of Nashville passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011. Born in Dickson County, TN Monday June 5, 1933 he is preceded in death by his wife, Della O. Still Ragan; parents Horace and Gila Ragan; sister Elizabeth Robertson and brother Joe Ragan all of Dickson County, TN.

He is survived by children Rachel (Larry) Montuori, Jerry (Cindy) Ragan, Larry (Laura) Ragan, Barbara (Jesse Diggs) Ragan, James (Ann) Ragan; brothers Bob Ragan and Johnny Ragan; 10 grandchildren Danielle (Mike) Kimball, Renee Shelton, Nathan Ragan, Robin Shelton, Tara (Mike) Duncan, Lindsay (Robbie) Blevins, Meagan and Bryant McPherson, Ragan and Wesley Diggs; 2 great-grandchildren Evan Ragan and Aiden Duncan.

Mr. Ragan served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 at Fort Sill, OK; He worked at Werthan Bag and retired from Ford Glass Plant; he played softball for both company teams. He always had a great respect and devotion for family. He will be truly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 Monday in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Sons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
