Lewis Carl Richardson

Lewis Carl Richardson, age 92, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born Thursday, August 30, 1923 in Pulaski, Tennessee and is preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Ellen Thurman and Lester L. Richardson; his wife, Frances Johnson Richardson; companion, Margaret Belew; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Foreman.

Mr. Richardson was a 60 year member of Dalewood Baptist Church where he served as Deacon Emeritus; he graduated from Cornersville High class of 1941; served in the US Army during WWII; and was a postal clerk for 40 years with the US Post Office.

Mr. Richardson enjoyed playing the ukulele, traveling, the outdoors and theatre. He is survived by his children, Larry (Shirley) Richardson; daughter, Sandra (David) Lewis; sister, Dorothy Lee; grandchildren, Chris(Erin) Lewis, Sara (John) Foreman; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Andrew, Cecilia, John, Lucy, Frances.

A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in the chapel of Eastland Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Wampler officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens, Old Hickory, Tennessee.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Richardson at a visitation, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Eastland Funeral Home 904 Gallatin Avenue Nashville, Tennessee 37206
