Lee Williams, age 68, of LaVergne, TN passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Lee was born on December 2, 1954 in Asheville, NC. He grew up in the Middle Tennessee area with his parents and five siblings. He graduated from Glencliff High School. Growing up he played basketball, softball, bingo and going bowling. Lee loved going to the Amish country to buy veggies and ride around.
Lee was a devoted father, brother, uncle, friend and coworker. He spent over 30 years working for Nissan where he has made a lasting impact. He loved the friends and relationships he made over the many years there. Lee was very giving and would give you the shirt off his back without expecting anything in return. That is just the kind of guy he was. He was caring, thoughtful, respectful, and humorous. Lee loved his friends dearly.
Lee’s daughter, Brandy Leigh, or “Bran Bran,” as he called her was his true pride and joy. She was his entire world and he did everything “right” with her. The day she passed his heart and soul went with her, because she was wrapped around his finger. Some of his favorite memories were taking Brandy and her cousins and friends to Opryland, shopping or out for Manicures and Pedicures. He was the cool dad and making sure he was a part of every aspect of Brandy’s life. Brandy was a big Tennessee Vols fan despite her father being a religious Alabama Football fan. They had fun picking on each other every year when the game came on. He never missed a moment to say “Roll Tide.” You could always find Lee watching Alabama football. Lee never traveled too far from home, but he did enjoy taking trips to Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountains and being with his family.
Lee is survived by his Siblings, Darlene (Lane) Hall of Weaverville, NC; Larry Williams of Smyrna, TN; Wanda (Bill) Watkins of Milton, TN; Fonda (Roy) Nichols of Murfreesboro, TN; Tammy (Doug) Frazee of Milton, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Fred Williams; Mother, Jeannette Williams; and beloved Daughter, Brandy Williams.
Together the family finds peace in knowing he is reunited with his daughter and best partner in life, Bran Bran.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
