Larry Gordon Ranstad

Larry Gordon Ranstad age 80 passed away October 22, 2014. preceded in death by his parents, Carl Ranstad and Milla A Anderson Ranstad. Survived by loving wife of 22 years, Virginia F Ranstad; children, Eric (Odell) Ranstad of Nashville, TN, Jeff Ranstad of Nashville, Rudie Ranstad of Zephyrhills, Fl, Mike Ranstad of Travelers Rest, SC; stepchildren, Allen Juergemeier and companion Dena of Murfreesboro, TN, Sandy Chaney and companion Ray of Huntington WV, Mike Lawson of Nashville, TN, Kitty Freeman of Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren, Keith Juergemeier and companion Jessica, Valley Juergemeier, Gabie Gilliland, Heather Freeman, Mary Katherine Ranstad; great grandchildren, Lily Juergemeier, Riley , Jax, and Taylor Freeman; siblings, Richard ( June) Ranstad, Betty Odness. Larry served in the U.S. Airforce and had the rank of Captain. Larry was a very talented song writer and enjoyed playing guitar. Larry loved his dogs, Storm , Thunder, and especially his buddy Jake. Larry was a very special person with a great sense of humor. He was loved very much and will be greatly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. The family would like to say a special thank you to the ones who compassionately cared for Larry Specialty Select Hospital, Trevecca Health and Gentiva Hospice.
