Larry Ray Cook, 73, passed away on October 6, 2017 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a Robertson County native, graduated from Springfield High School and held a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. He retired from Metro Nashville Police Department serving 27 years. He served as a Court Officer for Robertson County Circuit Court. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era and honorable discharged on September 15, 1969 and was a realtor.
He was a member of Palestine United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and various other groups. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and volunteering in his community. He will be remembered for the love of his family, community and his country.
He is survived by his children Michael Ray Cook, Larry Allen Cook, Jason Cook and daughter-in-law, Stefania Bradford-Cook; his sister, Janice Cook-Wallace and brother-in-law, George Wallace, niece Ellen Wallace and 2 great-nieces, Janna Morgan and Hollie Morgan. his one grandson and his beloved pet, Biffy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eveleen Cook-Foster and father, James Robert Cook, Jr.
A celebration of life will be conducted 10:30 Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Palestine United Methodist Church, 2715 Old Hwy 431 S, Springfield, Tennessee 37172.
There will be a blood drive in Larry's memory in November, the date has yet to be determined.
