Joyce Marie Potter

Joyce Marie Paul Potter, age 78, passed away Feb. 15, 2016 at Sunrise Senior Living in Roseville, MN. Born May 3, 1937 in Shelbyville, TN, the devoted daughter of the late Arnold and Rether (Hargrove) Paul, sister of the late Calvin Paul, loving wife of the late Billy Potter, beloved mother of the late Heather Potter and Lincoln Potter (Cecelia Green), doting grandmother of Georgia Potter and Jackson Potter and caring aunt of Frita (Paul) Canada, Calvin Paul Jr., Morgan Pridemore, Sallye Shiflett, Will Pridemore and the late Ross Pridemore. She was “Miss Cohn High” in 1955 and attended Peabody College. A professional singer - she released over 15 singles culminating with the United Artist album “Heart Ache, Laughter and Tears” in 1969. She was a member of the Concord Road Church of Christ and cherished her family, friends and pets. Always ready with a smile and a song, she will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 26, from five to seven o’clock in the evening at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN (615-383-4754). Funeral service to take place at the funeral home on Saturday Feb. 27, at ten o’clock in the morning, followed by burial service and lunch reception.
