Joyce B. Hollins

HOLLINS, Joyce B. age, 87 of Nashville, passed away on November 1, 2011. She was born on July 8th, 1924 in Birmingham, AL, to the late David H. & Mary (Farmer) Birmingham. She attended college at Auburn University and Huntingdon College. Mrs. Hollins was a member of: Woodmont Baptist Church for over 50 years, Charter Member of Air Force Academy Parents Club, Armed Forces Officers Wives Club, Nashville Woman’s Club, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens & Art Museum, & The Carter House. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel F. Hollins, Jr and daughter, Joyce E. (Bittie) Hollins. She is survived by her son, Samuel David (Carla) Hollins, Sr.; daughter, Melanie Gay (Bill) Wiggins; grandchildren, Samuel David Hollins, Jr., David Rowley, Katie Rowley. Pallbearers, Randy Smith, Al Hollins, Jeff Castleberry, Randy Radar, David Hollins, Jeff Overton, John Pickett & Andrew Stevens. Funeral Services will be held 11a.m., Saturday, November 5th 2011 at Woodmont Baptist Church, 2100 Woodmont Blvd, Nashville, TN 37215, with Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, November 4th at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Nashville, TN.
