Josephine Connors

Mrs. Josephine Gladys Connors age 93, of Antioch, TN, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. Mrs. Connors was born in Cross Bridges, TN, on September 21, 1921, the daughter of the late Maggie and James McCanless. She was a homemaker and a previous member of Una Baptist Church. Mrs. Connors loved people and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Connors was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Connors; a daughter, Martha Jo Connors; a brother, Albert Raulston; and two sisters, Martha Stanley and Jean Adkisson. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Jim Simpson, Faye and Andy Derryberry, and Kaye and Michael Bass; grandchildren, Scot Simpson, Tracy Derryberry, and James Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Harper Simpson, Darbye Simpson, Chris Brown, and Josh Brown. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 26, 2015, at four o’clock in the afternoon, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Tina Hutchison officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday from two o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
