POWELL, Joseph E., age 84 of Nashville, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012. Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Ann Powell; sisters, Sarah Robinson and Jeanette Powell. Survived by his daughters, Cindy Powell and Carol (Jayne) Powell; sons, Larry (Susan) Powell, David Powell and Stephen (Tracy) Powell; twelve grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Corbett and Linda (Gary) Burgess. Mr. Powell was a WW II and Korean War veteran. Funeral Mass will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Mark Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday with a Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
