Joe was a lifelong resident of Nashville, TN. He graduated from Hillwood High School in 1971.
Joe worked for Baptist Hospital (later St. Thomas Health) for thirty-nine years until he retired in 2012. Most well known for living life to its fullest, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dr. Roy W. Parker and Mrs. Ann M. Parker.
Survivors include daughters, Jennifer Parker (Bobby Sneed) of Nashville, TN, and Elizabeth Parker of Smyrna, TN; grandson, Rylan Nagy; and siblings, Mrs. Patricia (Herb) Dozier of Greenville, NC, and Dr. John (Kelli) Parker of Cookeville, TN; nephew, Parker Dozier of Raleigh, NC and numerous extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 28 at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. preceding the service.
