Joe W. Johnson 66, of Brentwood, TN passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Joe was born on November 18, 1952 in Nashville, TN, the son of Joseph and Anne Johnson. His parents precede him in death. He married Marilyn Wilmore, and they spent 37 wonderful years together. She survives along with one cousin, June Johnson Woodard.
A longtime member of First Baptist Church, Joe was a proud member of the main entrance team. He worked for and retired from the Metro Water Department.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from two o’clock in the afternoon until five o’clock in the evening at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, and on Monday, August 26, 2019 from eleven thirty in the morning until one o’clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church, 108 7th Avenue South, Nashville. A Celebration of Life will follow visitation at the church on Monday at one o’clock with Dr. Frank Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
