Joseph Edward Dyer Jr.

Joseph Edward Dyer Jr., age 48, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019. He is the son of Cheryl Reynolds Dyer and Joseph Edward Dyer, Sr. He was a graduate of Father Ryan High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University for Aerospace Systems Engineering. In 2002, he gained Microsoft certification from Vanderbilt University. Joseph (Jody) was a Systems and Network Engineer (Ninjaneer) at Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. He was a dedicated father to his son, Joseph Michael Patrick Dyer, supportive brother to his sister, Michelle Dyer Perkins (Stacy) of Wytheville, VA and brother, Patrick Allen Dyer (Shayna) of Atlanta, GA, and loving uncle to Stephanie Elizabeth and Zachary Michael Perkins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Patrick Dyer and grandparents, Elizabeth and Joe Reynolds. He will be remembered for his playful nature and sharp wit. Not only was he an accomplished pilot, copper artisan and woodworker, he was wonderful writer. He leaves behind an extended family who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of life will be from 2-5 at his aunt, Tamara Reynolds’ home, 6444 Currywood Drive, Nashville, TN. 37205 on Monday the 23rd. A private graveside service will be conducted at a later date.
