Jonathan Garth Yandell 60, of Antioch passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019. Jonathan was born on October 30, 1958 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Larkin Yandell and Wilmatine Yandell. He attended Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, which is now known as Randall University in Moore, OK. Jonathan married the love of his life, Dianna Redfearn, and they were getting ready to celebrate 42 years of marriage.
Ordained as a Pastor in 1980 in Tulare, CA, he worked as a Home Missionary in Sacramento, CA and later as Pastor at Garden Grove Free Will Baptist Church and was the Senior Editor for Randall House Publications from 2003 to 2016. He was a member of The Donelson Fellowship, and wrote "Finding Hope In The Darkness". Jonathan was an avid fisherman, and he loved spending time with his family and grandkids.
Surviving to carry on Jonathan's legacy is his wife, Dianna Yandell of Antioch; son, Joseph Taylor (wife, Amy) Yandell of Thousand Oaks, CA; daughter, Cassandra Jayne (husband, Nathan) Horath of Noble, OK; grandchildren, Christopher Sullivan-Yandell, Noelle Yandell, and Andrew, A.J., Landon, and Jaxon Horath; parents, Larkin and Wilmatine Yandell of Visalia, CA; his mother and father in-law, John and Carolyn Redfearn of Grove, OK; siblings, Susie and Dan Steigman of Redding, CA, Gary Cherry of Visalia, CA, and LouAnn and Marty Houk of Visalia, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Fred Howard of Rogers, AR; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his mother, Joy Brown.
A gathering of friends and family will be from four o'clock in the afternoon until seven o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at The Donelson Fellowship at eleven o'clock in the morning, with Pastor Robert J. Morgan officiating.
