John "Johnnie" Elizabeth Colley Wells

John Elizabeth "Johnnie" Colley Wells of Brentwood, Tennessee passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024. She was 95. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. "Charlie" Wells, Jr., daughter Sammie Wells, parents John S. Colley, Jr. and Mabel Carothers Colley, and brothers Sam and Jerry Colley. She is survived by children Charles S. Wells III (Martha), John Colley Wells (Corinne), Tina Wells Muzikowski (Bob), and Missy Wells Tucker (Tuck). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was born August 8, 1929 in Centerville, Tennessee. In the late summer of 1955, Johnnie met and later married Charlie Wells. They were married February 2, 1956, and celebrated 65 years of marriage before Charlie's passing. Johnnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a true friend to many. She brought happiness and laughter to everyone around her.

Johnnie was a faithful member of Brentwood United Methodist Church for 56 years and belonged to the Wesley Forum Sunday School Class.

The family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers from Home Instead who took such loving care of Johnnie, especially Ashley Soard, and Alive Hospice.

Visitation with the family will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton, located at 660 Thompson Lane in Nashville, on Friday, November 22 from 4:30-7:30 pm. The family will have a private graveside service earlier that day.
