John Thomas Taylor Sr.

John Thomas Taylor Sr., age 84, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. John was born Tuesday, April 19, 1938 in Nashville, Tennessee. He preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Agnes Burns Taylor; daughters, Pamela Millsap and Laurie Anne Taylor; grandson, Eric Taylor; granddaughters, Angel Dawn Taylor, Heather Boggess, Emily Hopkins; siblings, Joe (Faye) Taylor, Jimmy (Margaret) Taylor, Ann (Al) Turner, Carolyn Salt, Tony Taylor, Frank (Romona) Taylor, Bill Taylor, Patsy Taylor.

A veteran of the Air Force and retired Corrections Officer with CCA he is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ethel Anne McKee Taylor; children, Vickie Lynn Hopkins, John Thomas Taylor, Jr., Steven Michael Taylor, Christopher Allen Taylor; grandchildren, Jeremy Hopkins, Melissa Hopkins, Tonya Washington, Candice Williams, John Thomas Taylor, III, LaCrisha Taylor, Matthew Carter, Billie Carter, Jamie Carter, Hunter Burdett; 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for John will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Eastland Funeral Home, 904 Gallatin Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee 37206, with a celebration of life at 4:30 PM with Rev. Brad Carlisle officiating.
