Mr. Smith served in the Army National Guard; he was a broker in the food industry and a member of First Baptist Church, Hendersonville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Peggy Young Smith; daughters Julie Greenwade, Tricia (Bill) Simpson; sister Georgia Thompson; brother Robert L. (Carlene) Smith; grandchildren Danielle, Brooke, Troxell, Celia and Will.
Funeral services will be 1:00 Wednesday February 2, 2011 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Roger Luther officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Smith on Wednesday February 2, 2011 from 11:00 until 1:00 to remember Mr. Smith at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Babb Center First Baptist Church, Hendersonville.
