father John T. Parker and sister Peggy Ball Cason. Ben graduated from Rocky Mountain Senior High School in 1969 and earned an English degree from David Lipscomb College in 1972. He had a long career as a bond underwriting manager at several Nashville area companies including Fireman’s Fund and Safeco. Music was a consistent passion throughout his life. He recorded his first album at the age of 17. The title track, “Elaine,Elaine” was played on his local music station and even became the most requested song at this station for one day. During a semester in 1971 he was an exchange student to London and was able to get closer to the area that produced his favorite bands including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and many others. Throughout his entire life he enjoyed writing and performing music with his bandmates, friends, or anyone who would listen. In his later years he enjoyed time on the beach or any open water with friends and family. He is survived by his two sons Chris Parker & Brian (Sherry) Parker and adoring granddaughter Alanah and grandchildren Gary, Baylee and Emma. His quick wit and easy going
personality will be missed by his loving family and all that knew him. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Saturday September 1 at four o’clock pm at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall in Nashville. In lieu of flowers
the family requests that donations be made to King’s Daughters School 412 W. 9th Street Columbia
