He was an active member of Pennington United Methodist Church (now Pennington Fellowship Church) for nearly 50 years.
Dr. Lloyd, or “Papa” as his grandchildren called him, was always available for tractor rides around the farm, fishing at the pond, or enjoying the rocking chairs on the front porch. His generosity was displayed in his oft-used question, “Want another one?” meaning another cookie or another bowl of ice cream. (Butter pecan being a favorite.) He was always quick with a joke, some of which were appropriate for children. He was beloved, and will be dearly missed.
