John D Honey

John married Lorine Leaver on July 2, 1955 in Nashville, TN. He had a career with the united States Postal Service for 37 years. John was a member of Bell Road Church of the Nazarene, and was a life long Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan.

John is survived by his spouse, Lorine Honey; his son Mark Honey (Davida); his daugher Kathey Gentry (Ricky)and his son-in-law Donald Merritt, grandchildren; Shaun Gentry (Melissa), Justin Gentry (Cassandra), Kourtney Mooney (Kyle) and his grandchild Kacie Honey, Keysha Honey; great grandchildren, Alissa, Alexis, Ella, Baylor, and Jordan, .

John was preceded in death by his parents, Mr and Mrs John W Honey; daughter Sandra Merritt; grandson Johnny R Gentry III; great grandchildren, Hanlee Gentry; and Harper Gentry; and 2 brothers.

A visitation for John will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A visitation will occur Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service in his honor will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. John will be laid to rest following funeral service at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
