COX, John T. Sr. “Tommy”. May 12, 1031 – March 21, 2013. Born in Pulaski, TN. Preceded in death by his parents, Ewing Baxter and Clydie Clara Chapman Cox; siblings, Jessie and William Earl Cox. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Sue Cox; children, John T. Cox, Jr. “Johnny” (Lori), Pete Carmen Wilson; grandchildren, Blake, Caitlin, Madison, Garrett Cox, Ashley (PJ) Demonbreun; great grandchildren, Tara and Masen Demonbreun; brother, Flint (Kay) Cox; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Cox survived in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Colonial Freight Systems for 60 years. Mr. Cox enjoyed time with his family, fishing, riding his Harley and working with his friends at Colonial Freight Systems, he will be remembered as a loving son, husband , father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Funeral service will be conducted two-thirty p.m. on Saturday March 23, 3013 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Bro. Jim Creech and Bro. James Nave officiating placement to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Serving as active Pallbearers will be Blake Cox, Larry King, Danny Parker, Bobby Parker, Huey Burton, Gary Sims. Honorary Pallbearers, JT Williams, Colonial Freight Systems Employees, Boswell Harley Davidson Friends and Fellow Bass Fisherman. Visitation with the family will be Friday from one to eight p.m. and Saturday eleven a.m. until time of the service.
