John Oscar Alexander III

John Oscar Alexander III age 68, went to Heaven to be with our Lord, March 5, 2016. John served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville and a retired Emergency Room Physician at Sumner Regional Medical Center of Gallatin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Oscar Jr. and Lillie Alexander of Dresden, TN. Survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Eileen K. Alexander; daughter, Kimberly Alexander (David R. Leitner); sons, John Oscar Alexander IV (Melissa Ann) and Ryan Patrick Alexander (Gena); grandchildren, Kates, Oscar, Ike and Eden Alexander; brothers, Mitchell Alexander (Janet) and Thomas Alexander (Cindy); also survived by a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at First Baptist Church Hendersonville Chapel from 1pm until 3pm with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 3pm with Mike Cowart Sr. officiating.

With tearful hearts we watched him fade away.

Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands laid to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
