Joe Brown Bromley born on March 5, 1930 in Flatwoods, Tennessee to Albert Patterson Bromley and Lillian Bastin Bromley passed away on November 22, 2017. Joe is also preceded in death by siblings, John Lewis Bromley, Dorothea Patterson Bromley Jones, Evelyn Bromley Stocks, Albert Vernon Bromley, and Margie Bromley.
Joe is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rose Marina Formosa Bromley; children, Michael Joseph Bromley, Vickey Elaine Bromley, Cynthia Lynn Bromley; step-children, Forrest Dale Richardson, Jr. (Regina), Catherine “Cathy” Eubank (John), Richard Ray Hutchison, Jr., Angela Renee Thompson, Anna Maria Baugh, and Carol Elaine Vick; grandchildren, Michael Joseph Bromley, II, Erica Hope Halfacre, Ian Joseph Lingenfelter, and Christopher True Bromley; step-grandchildren, Katherine Marina Strube (Chris), Lisa Anne Murray, Breanna Wood (Justin), John-Michael Eubank (Leeann), Autumn Rose Raborn (Zane), Austin Jarred Vick, Lauren Lorraine Baugh, and Christian Lane Weisner; step-great grandchildren, Caroline, Connor, Krisslyn, and John-Holden; sister-in-law, Loretta Formosa; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Joe was the sixth child and baby in his family. Joe entered in the military with the United States Navy during the Korean War on August 14, 1950 (Engineman 3rd Class) and was honorably discharged on June 4, 1954 (Engineman Fireman). He was stationed at USNTC in San Diego, California and was then stationed on the USS Kishaukee (AOG-9) and the USS Shasta (AE-6). Joe and Rose were married on December 12, 1979, a day in which he gained a large part of his extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Bromley Family Cemetery in Flatwoods, Tennessee.
