Jimmy Dale Kirk

He spent his last days at home surrounded by loved ones. Jimmy was a Vietnam Veteran who earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his injuries during his service. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; 1 sister – Janet Alexander, 1 brother – Donnie Kirk (Betty), brother-in-law – Donnie Gray (Paula), 3 daughters – Michele Bates (Jimmy Crowley), Melanie Kirk (Jerry Traughber), Kelly Malkowski (Anthony); 7 grandchildren – Bradley McCarthy, Zachary Hirt (Danielle Stephan), Jordan Hirt (Abby Allen), CPL Bailey McCarthy (Samantha), SMN Simon Hirt, Camron Bates, Vanden Baines, and Anya Viola Malkowski; 3 great grandchildren – Amelia McCarthy, Paisley McCarthy, and Oliver Hirt. Jimmy had numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family he loved whom brought him immense joy.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Viola (Lewis) Kirk, father, Rufus Kirk, sister, Sharon Kirk and son Jimmy Dale Kirk Jr.

Visitation will be held at Lighthouse church 4PM – 8PM Sunday, February 24, 2019 and 11AM – 1PM Monday, February 25, 2019. Funeral services will be held at Lighthouse church at 1PM on Monday following the visitation with internment at Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following - 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville TN 37204.
