Jerry graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Amonette owned Amonette Construction and was a skilled carpenter. He never met a stranger, had a very generous spirit and will be remembered as an all around nice guy.
In his free time he enjoyed biking, hiking, fishing, birds and all nature has to offer. He also enjoyed dancing and his favorite song was Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man”.
Most importantly he loved the Lord and his family.
He is survived by his daughters MaKayla Amonette and Hannah Amonette and their mother Denise Amonette; sister Gail (Mike) Sullivan; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins along with Mother-in-law Johanna Raybourn.
He is preceded in death by his parents Loyd and Pauline Amonette and his brother David Amonette.
Jerry was also preceded in death by his fur babies Allie and Rosie and is survived by his current best friend his beagle Charboy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
