He was born and lived in the Nashville area. He graduated from Goodlettsville High School and was baptized at Cornerstone Church.
He was a husband, father, son, uncle, and friend who was taken too early from his family and friends. He thought of his family first. Jeff was the definition of having a “pure servant’s heart.” He always wanted to help and would do anything for anyone. He worked and played hard knowing his last day could come at any time due to his heart condition. We were blessed with the years we had with him.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene (Becker); two sons, Austin and Peyton; one daughter, Katelyn; his parents, Robert and Janet Russell; sisters, Teresa Russell-Ferguson (husband, Bill) and Tracy Barriero (husband, Efrain); nephew, Josh Hardcastle, and nieces, Keely, Elise, and Anna. He also left behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Mount Olivet Funeral Home on Friday, December 18, 2015, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also on Saturday, December 19, 2015, from 10:00 am until 12 noon.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the chapel at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
He will be greatly missed. We love you, Jeff!
