STEVENSON, Jean Holt, age 81, born on July 20, 1932 and passed away on August 29, 2013. She is preceded in death by her father and mother: Frank and Martha Holt; brothers: J.M. Holt, Charles Holt and Thomas Holt; sisters: Myrtle Lawhorn, Helen Allen; husbands: Jim Stoker and Richard Stevenson; nephew: Terry Allen and grandson: Jimmy R. Stevenson, Jr. Mrs. Stevenson is survived by her brother: Rice Holt; son: Jimmy Stevenson (Donna); grandchildren: Greg Lamberth (Michelle), Richard B. Stevenson, Amanda Stevenson Knick and great-grandchildren: Brant Lamberth, Braelee Lamberth, Bryce Lamberth, Brax Lamberth, Kadence Knick & MaKenna Knick. Jean, also known as the red-headed waitress, worked at the Elliston Place Soda Shop in Nashville for over 55 years. She was a loyal, dedicated, honest and dependable employee. She often told us the reason that she didn't want to retire was because her customers were her real friends. She leaves behind many good memories and was a positive example. She was tireless in her efforts to always help others. Jean did not have a PHD or other symbols behind her name, but, she was blessed with wisdom and work ethic that she shared with her family. She would always sacrifice so others would have what they needed. She was loved and adored by her family and will be missed greatly. She was always an active, giving part of their everyday lives. Active Pall Bearers will be Doug Lawhorn, Joe Lawhorn, Stan Holt, Mike Holt, Sherry Holt Fox and Brant Lamberth. Honorary Pall Bearers are Greg Lamberth, Michelle Lamberth, Richard Stevenson, Amanda Stevenson Knick, Braelee Lamberth, Bryce Lamberth, Brax Lamberth, Kadence Knick, Makenna Knick, Roger Allen,Ila Mae Maclure, Wanda Henderson, Clifford Holt, Scott Marbut, and Bob Stroop. Visitation will be held from three until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 3rd of September, 2013 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 4th of September, 2013 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with visitation held two hours prior to the service. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
