Jean Baxter Ingram, 92, of Donelson passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Born September 17, 1925 in Milton, Tn, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie Baxter. She is predeceaced by daughter Linda Kay Ingram, brothers Joe and Billy Baxter, and sister Alberta Baxter Caswell.
She is survived by her husband, of 72 years, Clyde Ingram; daughter
Martha (Bruce) Jackson; son David (Trisha) Ingram; four grandchildren, Ashley (Will) Day; Jan (Adam) Masterson; Clay (Amber) Jackson; Steve (Lizzy) Ingram; four great grandchildren, Madelyn Day, Abigail Jackson, Emma Kate Day, and Milo Ingram.
She graduated from Lebanon High School and attended Peabody College. She worked for Metro Nashville Public Schools for 28 years as a school secretary at Stanford Elementary, McGavock High School, and Hermitage Elementary. She was a member of Andrew Price UMC for 65 years and very active in their Fellowship Sunday School Class. She also is a member of the Stones River Woman’s Club.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 23, 2017at 11 a.m. at Andrew Price UMC by officiant Rev. Melisa Dersewen with burial at Wilson County Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. Family will receive friends Friday December 22 from 6-8 p.m.at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday December 23, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Andrew Price UMC.
