Jean Dugger passed away on July 31, at the age of 98. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Jack S. Dugger, Sr. She is survived by her son, Jack Dugger, Jr., three grandchildren, Neal Dugger, Jennifer Dugger and Kim Franklin (Adam), and seven great grandchildren, Kendall Dugger, Carson Dugger, Avery Claire Dugger, Reese Dugger, Jack Franklin, Cole Franklin and Libby Franklin.
Jean Dugger was born in Nashville on August 10, 1919. She attended Ross Elementary School, Hume Fogg High School, East Nashville High School, David Lipscomb College and Vanderbilt University. She was an artist and for a period of time taught art at various places.
She loved her family and felt blessed that she was able to enjoy her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they grew up. She also loved people and most everyone that she met became her friend.
Jean was an active member of the Brentwood Church of Christ and, along with her husband, was very involved in activities there.
There will be a gathering of friends on Thursday Aug 2, 2018 from 4 pm until 8 pm and Friday from 12 noon until 1 pm. Celebration of Life services will be held Friday Aug 3, 2018 at 1 pm in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Brentwood Church of Christ, Alive Hospice, or The Thomley Foundation.
