James Lee Stewart

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary Elizabeth Ivey Stewart; parents, Lester Stewart and Ethel Denson Sosa; sister, Catherine Holland of Michigan.

Survived by his devoted wife, Betty Jean Stewart; daughters, Janice (W.D.) Donnell, Darlene (Bobby) Milliken, Cecilia Gray; stepson, Mark (Heather) Watkins; sister, Marie Beard; grandchildren, Trey (Celena) Milliken, Kari Beth (Nathan) Thompson, Greg Gratton, Daniel Donnell, Dustin Donnell, Michael Gray, James Gray, Christina Allen and Cody Watkins.

James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all. He served in the Korean War as a proud member of the United States Navy, and was a participant in Operation Ivy. He retired from Jamison Bedding after 33 years and was a member of Berea Church of Christ.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, May 23, 2014, from 12-2pm at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, 1101 Lebanon Rd, Nashville, TN. Funeral services will follow at 2pm. The interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
