James Ronald “Ronnie” Scott Nashville, Tennessee James Ronald “Ronnie” Scott, January 27, 1941 to September 19, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Cooper Scott, Jr. and Ola Mabel Webb Scott, along with two brothers, William Webb Scott of Charleston, SC and David Lee Scott of Bolivar, TN. Survived by his wife, Elaina Hunt Scott, oldest brother Wallace Cooper Scott III (Joe Ann) of Fairfield, VA and sister, Joann Scott Phillips (Phil) of Bluffton, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Nashville, he graduated from Ransom Elementary, West High School, and was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity at Vanderbilt University. He grew up as a member of West End Church of Christ. He served in the Navy Reserves. He was with J.C. Bradford for 33 years, heading the bond department for many years. He later founded and managed JRS Investments, Inc., a financial advisory firm. He was a member of Corner Partnership, LLC. He was a board member of the Nashville Ballet, Belmont Mansion and the Downtown Partnership. Ronnie belonged to the Golf Club of Tennessee and was a member of Richland Country Club, Old Hickory Country Club, Orange Tree in Orlando, Florida and the K Club Golf Resort in Ireland. He was passionate about the game of golf, Vanderbilt baseball, the St Louis Cardinals and the Nashville Ballet. To celebrate his life, Rev. Clifford Dobbs will conduct the service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22 at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Funeral Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Ballard, Mark Bloom, James Cook, Glenn “Roxy” Gwynn, Doug Hall, Ray Harness, Larry Papel and Mark Russell.
