James Norman Presley, Jr., age 84, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2015, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center - Vanderbilt, Nashville TN.
Jim is survived by his daughter Pam (HP) Staley of Franklin, TN; his son Trey (Whitney) Presley of Nashville, TN; one Grandaughter Sloan (Aaron) Mankin of Franklin, TN; and one Grandson Carson Staley of Franklin, TN.
He is preceded in death by his wife Catherine McLaughlin Presley.
Jim was born on January 22, 1930 in Nashville, TN to James and Ida Presley. He played football at Isaac Litton High School and went on to play at the University of Wyoming. He served a distinguished career in the United States Army, doing two tours of duty in the Vietnam War.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm until 2:00 on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Disable American Veterans, www.dav.org.
