Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Sue Jarrett; daughters, Lara L. Jarrett (Allen Kirby) and Shawnda S. (Kyle) Smith; granddaughters, Elizabeth McKaye (Jon) Musser, Scottie N. Smith, and Madeline R. Smith; great-granddaughters, Josalyn A. Musser and Everleigh M. Musser.
Jim was a professor at Trevecca Nazarene College for twelve years and was also the Director of Music at Woodmont Christian Church for several years.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from four until seven in the evening on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at one o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Donelson Heights United Methodist Church, 84 Fairway Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37214.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Donelson Heights United Methodist Church.
