James Bernard Curry

departed this life on November 24, 2020. He was born on October 1, 1937 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Richard Frances and Dovie Farley Curry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Marian Curry; son, Sean Patrick Curry and siblings, Adele Curry Waters and Richard Curry.

Jim was a mortgage broker for many years in the Nashville area. Jim worked with the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Tennessee Titans providing color commentary and statistics.

He is survived by his partner of over ten years, Norma Bass of Greenbrier, Tennessee; nephew, James Joseph "Jimmy" (Pam) Waters of Virginia Beach, Virginia; nieces, Leslie Waters (Keith) Kozicki of Sautee, Georgia and Victoria Waters (Alan) Siefker of Savannah, Georgia.

Jim attended Benedictine Military School and enjoyed attending alumni activities. He loved Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade and often walked with his dear friends from the Hibernian Society.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from two until six o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Marshall-Donnelly Combs Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at ten in the morning on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery in Nashville.
